Description:

Insight Global is seeking entry-level low voltage technicians/installers to join a dynamic team in Maple Lake, MN. This role involves travel and night shift duties on construction sites to install, test, and troubleshoot systems such as structured cabling, fire alarm, and security systems. No prior experience is required, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of CAT5e and CAT6 copper solutions, fire alarm, security, CCTV, and paging systems.
• Learn to pull cables, fire stop, dress cables, and label them according to industry standards.
• Support the termination of CAT5e and CAT6 jacks.
• Aid in the installation of IP cameras, including aiming, focusing, and basic troubleshooting.
• Participate in testing copper cables using appropriate test equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing copper cables.
• Learn to read and understand blueprints to determine closet and equipment layout.

Requirements:

• Ability to work Night Shift and Travel.
• Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed.
• Reliable daily travel to worksites.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, as necessary.
• Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in aerial lifts.
• Comfortable with, and capable of, working in open construction environments.
• Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety.

Plusses:

• Minimum 2 years of experience installing copper and fiber optic cabling systems including staging materials and planning the execution of work, pathways, TR build-out, pulling cable, terminations testing and troubleshooting.
• NICET certifications.

Pay Rate: $20-30 / hour depending on experience.
