Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machinery on construction sites, including bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers. Your role will involve completing rough and fine grading tasks while ensuring safety and precision in your operations. Comfort with working outside the cab is essential. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers on construction sites. Perform manual labor tasks, including cleaning of tracks on track equipment at the end of the shift, assisting with grade setting, and silt fence installation. Maintain a clean and organized equipment cab. Report necessary repairs and ensure proper lubrication and use of the equipment. Conduct rough and fine grading on job sites and participate in other general labor responsibilities. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation. 2-3 years experience operating Excavators, Dozers, and Front End Loaders. Proficiency in grading and site development techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with commercial construction and site development. Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and motor graders. Why Work Here? Flexibility to work across 20 job sites in the Richmond Metro area, including New Kent, VA, is necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.
