Job Description:
The Deck Estimator - Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and profitability of construction projects. This position requires a skilled professional with a strong background in estimating, coordination across teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Please note that remote work is not an option for this position, and the candidate is expected to work on-site during regular business hours.
Experience/Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years of proven experience in estimating decks.
· Field experience in construction with a focus on job cost analysis.
· Previous experience working with insurance claims is required.
Skills Needed:
· Exceptional ability to build accurate orders and estimates.
· Proficient in job cost analysis to ensure project profitability.
· Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Experience with Acculynx is a plus.
· Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
· Capacity to see the big picture and analyze complex construction projects.
· Working knowledge of building code.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide estimates deck projects.
· Build accurate orders, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
· Conduct thorough job cost analysis to optimize project profitability.
· Coordinate effectively across multiple teams within the organization.
· Generate quotes for roofing and siding projects.
· Work closely with design consultants to ensure job continuity.
· Proactively identify potential issues on jobs and develop plans for resolution.
· Communicate clearly with the design team and other team members regarding project details.
· Provide clear instructions to the construction crew.
· Work on-site during regular business hours.
· Update order flags and enter production notes.
· Create specialty metal quotes and orders.
· Read and analyze insurance estimates accurately.
