Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a leading utilities client in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience working with cross-functional teams to identify, investigate, and resolve data issues. This role will focus on collecting and consolidating data from various internal and external sources, performing root cause analysis, and driving data clean-up initiatives to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, consolidate, and manage data from multiple internal and external sources for detailed analysis.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to detect discrepancies, inconsistencies, and patterns in datasets.
• Research root causes of data issues and develop actionable insights to resolve them.
• Develop and implement temporary workarounds to address urgent data issues while minimizing process disruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute comprehensive data clean-up efforts.
• Track and report on the progress of data correction initiatives to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all data analysis processes, findings, and resolutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SAP, particularly SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) or SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) modules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
• Previous experience in the utilities sector is a plus.
• 3 to 5 years of data analytics experience.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in data analysis, data quality assurance, and issue resolution
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and resolve anomalies
• Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, or other data querying/reporting platforms
• Ability to document technical findings in a clear and concise manner
