SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Interacts with peers, crew leaders, customers, and vendors using Tropitude (Tropitude is our mojo and what makes Tropical Smoothie Caf fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere).

• Delivers Unparalleled Hospitality to each customer that visits our caf.
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly in stock and stored
• Accurate order taking, includes repeating order to customer at time of order
• Setting up or closing down the dining room, restrooms, and patios
• Assist with opening and closing restaurant duties and re-stocking

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Able to learn quickly and apply information.
• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Safely navigate in a fast-paced caf environment.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

• Most shifts are between six to eight hours, but this may vary.
• Crew Members can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend and/or holiday hours and may have additional opening/closing responsibilities.
• Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Caf uniform and personal hygiene policies for each shift.
• Fun, fast-paced, upbeat environment with no fryers!

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• 15 years or older
• Available to work: early morning
• Available to work: weekends
• Available to work: weekdays
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Background check
• Has (or willing to open) a checking account for direct deposit
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 30 lbs
• Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification
• Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Food Handler Certification
