In this role, you'll have the chance to handle complex tax returns for individuals and small businesses while working in a supportive, remote environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and ready to tackle challenging issues with a thoughtful approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Tax Return Review & Preparation: Oversee and prepare various tax returns, including complex ones for entities such as 1065, 1120-S, 1120 (particularly for real estate entities), 1040, and 1041.


- Client Bookkeeping: Review and close client books, making necessary adjustments and ensuring accuracy.

- Ancillary Returns: Review ancillary returns like 1099s, payroll, sales tax, and annual filing fees (experience in this area is a plus).

- Engagement Management: Manage client engagements with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality service.

- Tax Planning: Focus on identifying tax-saving opportunities and preparing tax projections to benefit our clients.

- Complex Issue Resolution: Research and resolve complex tax issues with innovative solutions.

- Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics to solve problems and enhance client outcomes.

- Client Coordination: Communicate with clients and coordinate with their other advisors as needed.

Position Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; a Master's in Taxation is a plus.

- Certification: CPA certification is preferred.

- Experience: At least 5 years of public accounting experience, specifically in taxation.

- Skills: Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in technology is essential (including Word, Excel, QuickBooks, Adobe Pro, and CFS Payroll).

- Preferred Tools: Experience with CCH Axcess (or ProFx) and BNA is advantageous.
