Overview Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $32-36 Hourly Start Date: 10.27.2025 Our retirement living client is looking for a Copywriter to cover a 3-4 month leave. The selected candidate will craft compelling content that aligns with our brand voice and values while engaging target audiences. This role involves writing original copy for marketing initiatives and working closely with the marketing team and Executive Directors to shape messaging and ensure brand consistency across all platforms. The role's primary focus will be on marketing copywriting (approximately 75%) including flyers for retirement communities, print ads, postcards, and social media captions. The role will also involve editing website copy for accuracy and ensuring it fits the company\'s voice, working closely with the communications editor. Additionally editing pitches drafted by reps, ensuring adherence to company standards. Hybrid, working onsite 1 day per week in the Portland office. Remote also an option. Must have a portfolio of work to share. Primary Focus Areas Write original, engaging copy for a variety of marketing initiatives, ensuring messaging aligns with brand voice, the company\'s values and resonates with target audiences. This position requires you to: Write original copy that represents the brand\'s voice. Modify and edit copy on existing materials. Develop copy that fulfills marketing strategies. Assist in proofreading copy for content, style, and grammatical accuracy. Assist in proofreading for other departments as needed. Essential Functions Ability to be present and available during regular business hours to support internal customers; Ability to read and write English in order to follow and give oral and written instructions; Must be able to complete required paperwork with a high degree of accuracy; Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, moving equipment, and performing other related tasks; Required Qualifications B.S. or B.A. in Journalism, Communications, or English, or equivalent education and experience 5+ years of writing for marketing or advertising. Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Experience in creative strategy that includes creative, paid media, earned media, and brand management/consistency. Basic understanding of design process and print production. Knowledge and understanding of graphics and printing terminology. Excellent English language grammar, proofreading skills, writing conventions, and familiarity with AP style. #J-18808-Ljbffr Aquent
