The Cayuga Onondaga BOCES is now accepting applications for a Computer Systems Technician . This position involves responsibility for design, maintenance, and configuration of computer networks and computer systems. The Computer Systems Technician is responsible for coordinating network and workstation activities and providing a variety of staff support services, including equipment installation and maintenance of local area networks, peripherals and programming activities. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Technology Coordinator.
This is a provisional Civil Service position, which means the successful candidate will need to meet the minimum requirements of the position, and take the Civil Service exam for this position, when offered. The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,320. Pay is commensurate with experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER:
NOTE: Successful completion of a three (3) credit hour course beyond the requirements in (A) in management information systems, computer science, information technology, or a closely related field may be substituted for three (3) months of appropriate experience.
