PRT-Staffing is hiring immediately for experienced Commercial Electricians for long-term, new construction projects in the Columbus area. We are seeking skilled "mechanics" with 5+ years of experience to work with one of Central Ohio's largest and most respected electrical contractors.
This is a fast-paced role focused on large-scale commercial and industrial new builds. We are looking for electricians who can read blueprints, work independently, and take pride in their craft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
- Bend and install conduit, including EMT and Rigid (experience with hydraulic benders is a major plus).
- Pull and terminate wire for large feeders and branch circuits.
- Install major electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and large distribution panels.
- Install lighting, fixtures, devices, and support for fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial or industrial electrical field.
- A strong ability to read and work from blueprints is required .
- Proficiency in running and bending conduit.
- Must have your own professional hand tools and reliable transportation.
- A commitment to job site safety (OSHA 10 or 30 is highly preferred).
