Job Overview
A&I Distributors is looking for a driven, curious, courteous and reliable route driver to join our growing Portland-based team! We have a brand new fleet of well-maintained box trucks with state-of-the-art pumping systems ready for another eager driver.

We provide weekly delivery of a wide variety of motor oil, gear lubes, greases, antifreeze, service chemicals, filters and other automotive/heavy-duty/industrial products and lube equipment from top brands to the Oregon and southern Washington.

Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles including 26' box trucks and tank wagons
- Operate truck rail and lift gates plus metered pump systems.
- Execute route driving responsibilities by determining most effective deliver route.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently at various locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Handle payments from COD customers, as applicable
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Proficiency in operating 26' box trucks
- Proficiency in tractor trailer and tanker trailer work desired but not required
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps or use GPS technology effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.

Required Qualifications
- CDL Drivers License - Class A required
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Tanker Endorsement
- Hazmat Endorsement
- Winter driving experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Reliable personal transportation to our Bend truck parking site
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to communicate clearly with warehouse/office staff, managers and customers

Schedule
