We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented CIP (Clean-In-Place) Operator to join our dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal cleanliness and functionality of our processing equipment. This role involves managing the automated cleaning and sanitizing of all process equipment in compliance with our company’s high hygiene standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food and beverage sector, and a strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), SQF (Safe Quality Food), and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the CIP (clean-in-place) systems to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of CIP systems to ensure they are in good working order.
- Follow SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all cleaning processes.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the CIP system and escalate complex problems to the relevant team.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize the cleaning process and reduce downtime.
- Train new team members on the operation and maintenance of the CIP system.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a CIP Operator or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
- Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), SQF (Safe Quality Food), and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and maintaining records.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, and on public holidays if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food safety or related field is a plus.
