As the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Veracode, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for defining and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will lead a team of product managers and UX designers to deliver world-class software solutions to help organizations build and maintain secure software from code creation to cloud deployment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, be a natural collaborator with the heads of marketing and sales, and have a proven track record of bringing products to market that align with corporate goals.

What you will be responsible for:

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with Veracode’s overall business goals, building cross-functional alignment to execute organically and via M&A.
  • Create and own the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects the product vision and strategy and adapts to evolving market trends and customer needs.
  • Responsible for owning the process of collecting, incorporating, and effectively prioritizing features, enhancements, and overall new product development, based on business impact, customer feedback, and market opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date and evangelize throughout the organization a perspective on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive environment that shape the company’s product innovation and support effective GTM execution.
  • Translate strategy into deliverables that can be measured and managed.
  • Own formation and delivery of product plan during acquisition integration.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product management and UX team, with a focus on lean, agile, customer-centric product development methodologies.
  • Operationalize product management processes, enabling teams in the US, India, and Czech Republic to deliver on time, features, functionality, and products.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top product talent to build a world-class product organization.
  • Possess the ability to identify when your team needs either a builder or a do-er.

Product Development & Execution:

  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Implement agile methodologies and best practices to improve product development cycles and efficiency.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business impact.

Customer & Market Centric:

  • Champion the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring products deliver significant value and solve real-world security challenges.
  • Deeply understand and advocate for customer product needs within the organization.
  • Serve as a thought leader and spokesperson for the company at industry events, conferences, and with key customers.

Results Driven:

  • Set and manage product budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve strategic goals.
  • Monitor key cross-functional metrics (e.g., adoption, retention, revenue) to assess product contribution, performance, and inform decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and iterative product enhancements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate across all stakeholders of the product development life cycle and Go-To-Market organizations to ensure alignment and successful implementation of product strategy and commercialization.
  • Partner with the marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging that resonate with target audiences, inclusive of acquisitions.
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture leadership to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and security of products.
  • Engage with the customer success team to ensure successful customer onboarding, adoption, and satisfaction.

Required Skills:

Experience:

  • 15+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a c-level leadership role within a cloud software or cybersecurity company.
  • Has led teams through times of market, tech, or corporate transformation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading the development and launch of complex cloud software products, preferably in the security domain.

Location:

  • Role is hybrid work with expectation of ability to work in Burlington office three days a week.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Expertise in agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to think strategically while simultaneously managing day-to-day product operations.
