About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join their team. The CIO will be responsible for the management and administration of the Department of Information Technology, ensuring the proper functionality of services and hardware related to the network, and overseeing all computing activities for the organization. This includes supervising the IT Security Officer and IT staff, maintaining legal compliance, and leading long-range planning and budgeting for technology. The successful candidate will also be involved in preparing and managing the college technology plan and budget, participating in various committees and workgroups, and providing leadership to ensure the security and functionality of the college network. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have the ability to prepare and manage technology plans and budgets, as well as extensive knowledge of legal protocols, policies, and processes related to IT. The role requires the ability to organize work, set priorities, and troubleshoot technical issues. Effective supervision, communication, and the ability to foster cooperative relationships are essential. A degree in a related field is preferred, but experience may be substituted. Supervisory experience in a computing services department and project management experience are highly valued, along with high-level industry certifications. The CIO will also be expected to stay current with industry trends and ensure that the department remains within budgeted guidelines for technology purchases.
