About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) to join their mission-driven, nonprofit organization. The CFAO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the financial stability and growth of the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to support the organization's ambitious mission of serving high-risk and underserved populations. The CFAO will oversee all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, engage with the Board's financial committees, and work closely with the CEO to provide financial leadership. They will also be involved in treasury functions, financial and operational management, and administration, including the negotiation of union benefits and managing insurance relationships. The ideal candidate for the CFAO position will have a CPA (preferred) and at least 10 years of financial management experience in a large nonprofit with a substantial budget. They should demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for the organization's mission. Experience in the areas of the company's projected growth, such as behavioral health, services for special needs populations, and immigration services, is highly desirable. The CFAO will be expected to be a proactive business partner, with excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams. A collaborative and flexible approach, as well as the ability to be creative in funding activities, are also essential qualities for this role.
