We’re building a digital-first platform that replaces outdated vending machines and paper tickets with an intuitive, mobile-native experience — making lottery play frictionless, secure, and engaging. Backed by a visionary team and on the path to national deployment, we are seeking a mission-driven Chief Engineer to lead the development of our flagship app and digital infrastructure. Your Mission As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the full technical architecture, development roadmap, and execution of the Jackpath mobile platform (iOS, Android, Web backend). You’ll lead the engineering function from scratch, make foundational decisions, and work closely with the founder to bring a 10x lottery experience to life. Key Responsibilities Own technical strategy: Architect and implement the Jackpath mobile app and backend platform for scale, speed, and compliance Build and lead the team: Hire and manage world-class engineers across frontend, backend, and DevOps Product development: Work closely with product and design to ship user-centric features — ticket scanning, gamified number selection (e.g., Tarot, Random, Astrology), real-time results, and wallet integration Integrations and compliance: Integrate with state lottery systems, payment providers, and geolocation tools. Ensure regulatory and data security compliance Infrastructure: Design scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and app monitoring Innovation: Bring cutting-edge ideas in AR/VR, gamification, and personalization to Jackpath’s product roadmap Technical ownership: Be the engineering voice at the leadership table.
