Enjoys working with a team to meet polymer production goals. They like operating the different systems that make polymers for our customers. They can multi-task to complete the different duties assigned to them by the Shift Supervisor. They are very attentive to details to make sure formulas are followed, applicable instructions and processes are followed, and that paperwork and documentation are completed thoroughly.

What you do: Our ideal teammate has work-related experience with the following
  • Overseeing the polymer production process to ensure smooth and safe operations that yield quality product.
  • Facilitating the chemical reaction process, including adding reactants to raw materials and overseeing all steps of the reactions. Following batch instructions and accurately adding raw materials to the batches.
  • Charging reaction vessels according to established procedures and techniques.
  • Performing routine observation of product during the production process to ensure batch quality
  • Monitoring computer displays and process control charts to make sure that polymerization is happening without adverse events.
  • Transferring finished product from polymerization vessels to storage tanks, drums, intermediate tanks, or filtration tanks.
  • Following directions of the shift supervisor
  • Ensuring that safe work practices are followed
  • Participating in the safe operation of equipment, environmental compliance, quality control, inventory management, and housekeeping,

What We Need:

What we need:

Our Production team keeps the plant running by ensuring that the plant is operating efficiently 24/7. The Production team is responsible for filling, monitoring, and emptying of the reactors to make sure that polymerization happens so that we can fulfill the orders of our customers. The Chemical Operator fits into this by being responsible for monitoring the reaction process and raising awareness when something adversely affects the process. The Chemical Operator position is essential to the company's success and must be a collaborative teammate.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General understanding of chemistry and chemical reactions
  • 1+ years of work experience in Chemical Batch Operations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient at Math
  • Able to operate a computer and various software programs
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Chemical Plant Operations Certificate
  • Knowledge and understanding on Hazardous Material management
  • Prior experience as a Latex/Chemical Technician
  • Forklift Experience

Work Location: Mallard Creek Polymers Plant - Morehead Road, Charlotte, NC 28262

Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts, rotating starting at 7:00 pm or 7:00 am, 2-2-3 Schedule,

Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
