About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive organization and administration of the department, including accreditation maintenance, program improvement, and partnership with the admissions team to support program recruitment and enrollment. The role also involves fiscal management, budget and grant development, mentorship and evaluation of faculty, and active engagement with the industry and professional organizations. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or master's degree in petroleum engineering or a related discipline, significant industry experience, and a strong commitment to undergraduate education, particularly in the areas of teaching, advising, and mentoring students. Applicants for the Chair position at the company should be graduates of an accredited petroleum engineering program, with a preference for those holding a PhD or master's degree in a relevant field. The role requires a candidate with a proven record of collaboration and excellence in petroleum engineering education, as well as the ability to provide expertise in production engineering and completions. Teaching experience and professional engineering registration are also preferred.
