CFO About our client Our client is the premier clean energy finance platform for private clients seeking to mitigate their tax liability and enjoy long term yield. In partnership with family offices, financial advisors and tax professionals, they repurpose our private clients’ tax liability to preserve and grow their wealth, legacy and impact. About this Opportunity: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including corporate accounting, fund management, and strategy. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in raising solar tax equity at scale, and managing funds through successful exit. Responsibilities: Lead corporate accounting, financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Oversee fund management, ensuring optimal capital deployment and profit maximization. Drive the successful structuring, negotiation, and closing of tax equity financing transactions, including partnership flip and transferable tax credit structures. Develop and maintain strong relationships with tax equity investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including tax and audit processes. Develop and manage a high-performance team to support the company’s operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred. 5-7+ years in renewable energy finance, including tax equity structuring. Demonstrated expertise in executing partnership flip transactions through to exit. Strong knowledge of solar finance products and project finance structures. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and deliver results. Proficiency in financial software, modeling, and reporting tools. Compensation and Work Environment: Independent Contractor with an hourly base pay based on experience with bonus. Physical setting is remote with once a quarter team travel for meeting.
