Palolo Chinese Home specializes in serving elders with no age minimums or limits. Our nursing staff starts with an assessment of all prospective residents to determine their needs. Admission is based on functional abilities and nursing care needs.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Aide training program
Current Hawaii certification as a Certified Nurse Aide
Current CPR & First Aid certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
Take and record patients' vital signs
Assist nurses with medical procedures as needed
Ensure patients' rooms are clean and organized
Follow established treatment plans to help patients reach their healthcare goals
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Document care provided and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff

Work Hours:

Day Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm;
Evening Shift 2:00pm – 10:30pm;
Overnight Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am.
May be asked to work other than above shift as resident care and staff training requires.
