Easterseals Iowa is currently looking for an individual to support our clients in our Vocational Team!
Career Coaches provide support for adults with developmental disabilities in competitive work settings as well as provide supplemental training to both the employers and clients. They provide appropriate programming based upon the clients goals and objectives. Once a job is obtained, a career coach assists clients to learn job responsibilities, the culture and values of the work environment, job accommodations and explaining how employment affects their benefits. Supported Employment serves adults age 18 and older who are diagnosed with a developmental and/or intellectual disability within Polk and surrounding counties.
The wage for this position starts at $17.00 an hour and increases to $17.25 an hour upon completion of a successful 90 day orientation period. A reliable vehicle is necessary as applicants would be driving during the course of their job duties and must be insurable under our company policy. This position does require applicants to have a flexible schedule, with night and weekend availability, as their duties would be based on and around clients needs.
