The Oxbow Hotel is hiring a Building and Grounds Technician to assist with the overall maintenance of the property. This position is part-time, and the pay rate is $20 - $24/hr, commensurate with experience.

• Assist in maintaining the hotel building and grounds in top condition.
• Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of guests and employees in hotel buildings and grounds.
• Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects.

Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly, 20-25 hours per week between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with:
•Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
•Exterior and interior of buildings.
•Hotel grounds.
•Fire extinguishers.
•Maintain building by repairing, replacing, installing, and maintaining components of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural components of buildings.
•Install and replace window glass.
•Repair and replace roofing materials.
•Pours and finishes cement.
•Install and repair drywall.
•Plaster and paint.
•Always observe hotel policies.
•Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas, and techniques.
•Mow, fertilize, irrigate, and otherwise care for lawn.
•Plant, prune, remove, and otherwise care for trees, shrubs, and other landscape plants.
•Rakes and removes leaves, limbs, and other debris.
•Cleans rain gutters and drain spouts.
•Removes snow and ice from steps, walkways, roofs, gutters, and down drains.
•Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

Competencies & Skills Required:
•Good communication skills.
•Previous maintenance experience.
•Previous caulking (showers/bathroom) experience.
•Previous grouting experience.
•Previous plumbing experience.
•Previous knowledge of p-tac units (wall ac/heat).
•Previous knowledge of HVAC and air handler units.
•Previous painting experience.
•Knowledge of hotel operations.
•Knowledge of simple maintenance tasks.
•High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
•Minimum 1 years of similar experience required. ECWI Hospitality
