We are hiring on behalf of a government agency, and we’re seeking 2 passionate and talented professionals to help manage and enhance Montana’s vital bridge infrastructure out of Helena, MT.

Bridge Operations Team Lead

• Role Overview : Lead bridge analysis, load rating, and maintenance for over 5,000 bridges statewide. Manage engineering contracts, supervise teams, and ensure public safety through efficient bridge operations.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Perform advanced structural analysis and recommend traffic restrictions or repairs.
• Oversee overweight vehicle permitting and bridge maintenance programs.
• Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and program standards.
• Supervise a team of engineers to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
• Requirements : Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (with structural focus), 4+ years of related experience, and PE registration (Montana or eligible via comity).

Bridge Department Manager

• Role Overview : Oversee Montana’s Bridge Inspection and Operations programs, ensuring compliance with federal standards and public safety for 5,000+ structures. Lead the team responsible for inspections, load ratings, and bridge maintenance.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Administer National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) programs.
• Supervise and coordinate bridge inspections, operations, and specialized consulting contracts.
• Develop and implement statewide policies and program budgets.
• Collaborate with agencies and stakeholders to enhance infrastructure safety.
• Requirements : Bachelor’s in Engineering, 8+ years of bridge-related experience, 4+ years of supervision, Proof of successful completion (minimum 70% passing score) of a FHWA-approved comprehensive bridge inspection training course, or completion within 6 months of hire), and PE registration (Montana or eligible via comity).
