Job Description

The Gifting Company is seeking an experienced box truck driver to support their Shipping & Receiving and Inventory teams.

The Box Truck Driver/Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for keeping up with the demand of inventory required by production; while coordinating and collaborating with the Inventory team, department lead, and management for the preparation, control, and maintenance of the inventory system and related work. This role routinely participates in the completion and documentation of receiving and shipping good, along with the the transportation of products to and from the facility using the company box truck.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and facilitating the lot tracking system for inventory.
• Maintain product amounts on inventory shelves for daily production
• Communicate effectively with the inventory team on stock levels and incoming shipments.
• Count and inspect products from incoming shipments to ensure quality and SQF standards.
• Organize incoming inventory and maintain accurate receiving logs.
• Uphold attention to detail, accuracy, and meet constant deadlines.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and orderly.
• Transport products to and from suppliers, facilities, or customers safely and securely.
• Maintain daily transportation logs as per DOT requirements.
• Comply with GMP and SQF Standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of class B driving experience with proof of valid DOT physical
• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience with willingness to maintain certification at all times
• Must be willing to drive locally and to NYC routinely
