Education/experience A bachelor's degree with area of study in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field, or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Job Summary Assisting in all aspects of the Athletics Communications Office including serving as direct contact for several assigned sports, which will be based on experience and knowledge. Assist with general upkeep of the athletic department's website (radfordathletics.com), writing game recaps and featured stories, assisting in the design of social media graphics and content, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Experience in a sports information office or media relations office. Working knowledge of computers and desktop publishing programs on Macintosh and PC platforms. Strong interpersonal, communication, and editing skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some evening, weekend and holiday hours.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with InDesign and Photoshop. Experience with sport specific software programs, such as StatCrew.
