About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance to lead a critical division that supports the institution's growth and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of business service functions, including financial services, procurement services, and the Bursar's office. This hands-on role requires a leader who can ensure the highest level of service and support for the university community in financial planning, operations, and reporting. The Associate Vice Chancellor will also be involved in the implementation and modification of related software, review of financial statements, and serve as the Workday Finance Lead for the university. Strategic leadership, vision, and the ability to ensure compliance with financial and business policies are essential. Applicants for the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, a CPA license, and a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in accounting or financial management. A Master's degree and experience in a higher education setting with Workday and/or SunGard Banner Systems are preferred. The role demands a thorough understanding of higher education administration, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. The candidate must be adept at managing departmental employees, providing strategic financial leadership, and maintaining open communication with the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills are also required.
