Job Description

Our discrete and kind Bay Area-based Private Client is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support seamless operations and maintenance across multiple homes. These properties are made up of a diverse portfolio of residences across the Bay Area, from urban homes to coastal retreats. The ideal individual is a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, and is comfortable balancing day-to-day care with vendor coordination and project management.

The APM will report directly to the Director of Properties and principals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly walk-throughs, inspections, and property checks (interior/exterior)
  • Perform and/or coordinate preventative maintenance; monitor HVAC, solar, pools, and smart home systems
  • Manage household inventory, manuals, and vendor records
  • Coordinate repairs, landscaping, and contractor/vendor work
  • Ensure homes are event-ready; assist with set up/breakdown as needed
  • Provide hands-on support (from moving furniture to handling unexpected property issues)
  • Communicate updates clearly to the manager and principals
  • Drive between multiple Bay Area properties (SF, Palo Alto, Woodside, coastal locations)
  • Assist with administrative tasks in coordination with the Family Office

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in property management, hospitality, facilities, or a related field (private estate experience a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to “read the room” and adjust tone/style
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and accessing attics, basements, and roofs
  • Handy with basic construction/repair skills; familiarity with property systems preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Tech-savvy with smart home systems and basic office tools (calendar, email, text)
  • COVID vaccination required
  • Dog-friendly
  • Non-smoker/no vaping
  • Must have verifiable references and a clean background check

Schedule: Monday-Friday (with some flexibility to work after hours or on weekends if needed)

Compensation: Up to $125K DOE + benefits + PTO

Location: San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula (+ surrounding Area)
