Job Details

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager. In this role, you will provide vital support to the project management team in planning, coordinating, and executing various commercial construction projects. Your strong communication skills, exceptional multitasking abilities, and deep understanding of construction processes will contribute to the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Assist the project manager in coordinating all aspects of commercial construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and procurement of materials.
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and meeting minutes. Ensure all documentation is properly organized and accessible for reference and audit purposes.
Communication Liaison: Serve as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal team members. Facilitate effective communication, provide timely updates, and address any project-related queries or concerns.
Budget and Cost Control: Support the project manager in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing costs. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for efficient resource allocation.
Schedule Management: Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring key milestones are achieved on time. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and collaborate with the project team to implement corrective measures.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control inspections to ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and industry standards. Collaborate with the project team to address any quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in assisting or coordinating commercial construction projects.
Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and building codes.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
