Job Description : The Department of Education welcomes applications for a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor, with a specialization in Mathematics Education. The position begins July 1, 2026. Skillful teaching is a key responsibility, with a course load of nine (9) courses over four (4) semesters that includes courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain a robust program of research, publication, and/or creative production, in keeping with standards of the discipline, and support the Wake Forest University mission through service to the department, the College of Arts & Sciences, and the University. 

Position Qualifications : An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics Education or a related field is required for the position; ABD candidates are invited to apply. Qualified applicants will have at least three years of successful teaching experience in K-12 schools and will demonstrate their ability to supervise preservice and student teachers and teach courses including but not limited to elementary and secondary mathematics education; instructional design, assessment, and technology; educational research; and leadership and assessment in K-12 schools. Qualified applicants will also initiate and sustain original research and scholarship in their area(s) of expertise and contribute to an academic environment that fosters learning and growth for all its stakeholders.
