Architectural Designerfor a full-service architecture firm that specializes in multi-site rollout programs in
Irvine, CA.JOB SUMMARY: The Architectural Designer is responsible for taking direction to produce high quality drawings, specifications for all aspects of design, bidding, and construction to meet the objectives of the client AND meet the objectives of the Company. As described below, Architectural Designers shall take “ownership” of the tasks assigned to them by their Project Manager or Job Captain. The Architectural Designer shall also demonstrate qualities that support and exemplify the Company values, culture, ethical and moral objectives.
Objectives:Primarily responsible for the assistance of the preparation of Construction Documents.
Following client CAD standards.
Provide CAD construction drawings that meet or exceed minimum project quality and standards as outlined by QA/QC team to reduce or remove risk issues.
Responsible for understanding redlines and completing redlines from Direct reports and follows prototypical drawings sets.
Competencies:1. Proficient 7 Revit and MS Office Suite of Products 2. CAD production of documents across a variety of commercial project types. Able to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Completes drawings within the time allotted and Assist with Quality control of project plans.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative duties:Complete team time sheets on a daily basis and provide technical assistance to employees as required.
Help Job Captain with budget creation. By providing hours to complete tasks.
Notify the project team of office issues or supplies, on occasion, assist with office supply requests.
Responsible for keeping the workstation neat, organized, and clean at all times.
Notify the Manager of changes in workload in advance to maintain the billable goal.
Project Responsibilities:Work closely with the Job Captain and Project Manager to create drawings from written and verbal directions for design/ planning exhibits.
If required, create a cartoon set of documents for review by J.C and P.M.
If required, provide due diligence support with local jurisdiction.
Assist project team with designs required to gain client approval.
Assist the project team in creating planning materials and color boards.
Confirm planning drawings and or preliminary drawings are complete and accurate.
Create based Cad file for review by J.C or P.M. and for issuance to the project team.
Coordinate base file with site plan, civil engineer, and landscape architect.
Compensation: $60 - $80k.
