We now need a results-driven Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics team.
Department
The Technology Division at Success Academy is the chief provider of technology infrastructure, application services, security, and support. The Division partners with teams across the organization to equip students, teachers, leaders, and staff with the innovative technology tools and know-how necessary to achieve academic and operational excellence.
The Enterprise Data and Analytics department’s purpose is to build a healthy data and technology culture. By focusing on the concrete educational outcomes we are trying to accomplish in our schools, the team develops technical and organizational systems that are user-friendly, scalable, and flexible. The department is responsible for all reporting, analytics, data infrastructure, training, and evangelization.
This Data Analyst role will be a key contributor to our mission of driving innovation and democratizing data across the organization. Reporting to the Leader of Enterprise Data & Analytics, this role will be responsible for building dashboards in data visualization tools, querying an AWS data warehouse to build insights to support stakeholders, and code SQL data models in dbt.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver and communicate data-driven insights and reports to stakeholders by querying an Amazon Redshift data warehouse using SQL.
Build and maintain SQL-based transformations in dbt for new and existing use cases.
Develop and maintain Looker dashboards that are viewed by senior leadership and operation groups across the school network.
Work closely with school operations and management teams across the network to help capture business requirements and translate those requirements into SQL code.
Collaborate with data engineers to build transformed datasets for reporting needs.
A successful applicant will have the following experiences and education:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field like Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and/or experience in data analytics.
Ability to easily code complex SQL queries from scratch, having done so for at least 2 years.
Hands-on experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI or other BI tools.
Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex data models and dashboards in a concise and digestible manner.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
SQL coding experience in dbt, and/or LookML coding is a plus.

$85,000.00 - $105,000.00
