Joining Piedmont as a Crew Scheduler provides an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of an airline operation and your first step to a career in aviation. As a Crew Scheduler, you will manage the schedules of pilots and flight attendants in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies, make daily schedule adjustments for pilots and flight attendants and ensure that each crew member is compliant with all flight and duty time limits. This position reports to the Manager, Crew Scheduling. Essential Duties: Maintain monthly crew schedules for current and future flying which comply with Federal Aviation Regulations, the pilot and flight attendant contracts, and company policy. Make daily schedule adjustments for pilots and flight Attendants to ensure efficient flight operations due to flight time changes and/or irregular operations. Respond immediately to all operational irregularities and new flying requests to ensure the least impact to the customer and maximum revenue for the company. Responsible to ensure that each crew member is compliant with all flight and duty time limits. Coordinate and monitor crew hotel and airline reservations. Job Qualifications and Competencies: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in computer knowledge and usage. Preferred Qualifications: Previous aviation experience. Work Environment: Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment. Four-day work week (10-hour shifts). Available to work all shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
