Responsibilities:

• Managing and leading all activities at the quarry operation
• Leading continuous improvement efforts for optimal effectiveness and efficiency
• Building and maintaining a culture focused on safety, health, and compliance
• Collaborating with other plants and leaders as a member of the market unit's leadership team
• Developing and managing the annual operating budget, participating in the capital planning process, and having P&L accountability
• Collaborating with area Sales and Quality Control teams to deliver high quality and minimize waste
• Managing an effective maintenance program to ensure asset maintenance and control inventory costs
• Representing the company in the local community

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of production experience in crushed stone
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of aggregate production, safety, and environmental regulations
• Supervisory experience and well-developed leadership skills
• MS Office literacy and analytical skills

Preferred Experience:

• Quarry blasting
• Stripping heavy overburden and reclamation
• P&L accountability
• Union and Non-Union experience

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
