Brief Description of Duties

Responsibilities include teaching required multimedia journalism courses, performing service duties, advancing non-scholarly research and maintaining professional productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Teaching up to three (3) courses in online or multimedia journalism and/or broadcast journalism

* Curriculum development emphasizing cross-discipline integration of new media technologies and multi-platform journalism.

* Student advising

* Outcome assessments

* Service to the program, department, college, university and community

* Promotion of the program for recruitment.

Minimum Job Requirement

* Applicants should have at a minimum a master's degree coupled with significant professional experience.

* Extensive experience in news writing, copy editing with blogging and social media is essential.

* Knowledge of and proficiency of professional, remote video production techniques is preferred.

* The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable in the integration of theory and practice in journalism education.
