Coverage Needed: May 5 - November 21, 2025 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm No call Onsite Clinical Details: Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with substance use disorders Provide ongoing medical care, including medication management, counseling, and crisis intervention Conduct in-person and telemedicine evaluations Perform periodic medication management and monitoring visits Educate patients and families on addiction and preventive practices Order and interpret diagnostic tests and screening evaluations EMR: Athena Up to 16 patients a day, 60 minute initial visit, 30 minute follow ups Support Staff: 3 patient care coordinators, medical assistant Requirements: MD or DO graduate of an accredited School of Medicine Active NC License with full prescription privileges, including a valid DEA license Certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) or American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Preference for psychiatry, but open to IM/FM Experience in diagnosing and treating addiction and substance use disorders Understanding of co-occurring mental health conditions Familiarity with current addiction medicine practices and evidence-based treatments, and the integration of mental health care into addiction treatment plans Local Candidates - Preferred Integrity Locums
