Accounting Specialist - $24+

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a local company in Blount County.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for proper approvals.
• Back up processing of Raw Material invoices with costing reconciliation
• Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

Accounting Specialist Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, with strong AP/AR experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, SAP).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Accounting Specialist Shift:

• Full- Time/ Temp to Hire
• Day shift / Occasional extended hours during month-end or year-end close periods.
